The Order of the Military Council (PMAT) No. 5 Year 2005 outlined PERHEBAT’s functions as follows:

  • Implementing promotional and counseling programs together with Military Service Department, Veteran Department Affairs and Unit Commanding Officers.
  • Processing and supporting all applications received through Military Services Department and to return for approval.
  • Implementing and managing all Resettlement Training programs and activities approved by JPPLP inclusive of financing.
  • Programming and monitoring the implementation of Resettlement Training either in PERHEBAT’s Complex or other training institution.
  • Ensuring the implementation of Resettlement Training comply with standards set by Standard and Rating for Resettlement Training Committee (Jawatankuasa Penilaian dan Piawaian Latihan Peralihan) and in congruent with the Military Skills Training Concept.
  • Submitting performance report of trainees to the Military Service Department.
  • Submitting necessary statistics and data for the development and strategic planning for Resettlement Training.

The Order of the Military Force Fund Board (Reviewed 2005) outlined PERHEBAT’s responsibility as follows :

  • Implementing and managing activities in conjunction with training programs for retired and retiring army personnel
  •  Provides training facilities while managing and monitoring the implementation of all training programs.
